Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the course is to introduce the student to the basics of tourism geography, including: fundamentals of tourism typology; factors conditioning the development of tourism, with particular emphasis on natural, economic, political and cultural factors; aspects of the sociology of travel; cultural diversity of the world; functions of tourism in the modern world; main destinations and purposes of travel; consequences of tourism for the natural environment and the significance of tourism for the economic markets of selected regions.
