Purpose and description of the content of education: | The lecture discusses the regularities of the distribution of organisms on earth and provides an overview of the evolution of the biosphere. Flow of energy through ecosystems including the role of humans in organising energy flow, environmental factors determining the distribution of organisms on the globe, human influence on the distribution of organisms on Earth, terrestrial biomes of the world, principles of biogeographical regionalisation. Models of reasoning in relation to the functioning of the biosphere in geographical space. The lecture is conducted using audiovisual methods and diagrams drawn during the lecture. Assessment of environmental change on the basis of geo-indicators and natural valorisation for the purposes of spatial planning are addressed. Concepts for the management of transformed areas and ways of their restoration. |
