Purpose and description of the content of education: | Introduction to nuclear chemistry: particles in atomic nucleus, isotopes, radioctivity, ionization radiation, half-lives of the radioactive isotopes, stability of the nucleus, processes of nuclear fission and fusion, energy of the nuclear processes, splitting of the U-235 isotope as a source of energy, nuclear reactors and nuclear waste utilization. Protection against hazardous ionization radiation, measurment of the radiation, safety issues in nuclar power usage. |
