Purpose and description of the content of education:
The classes are a continuation of the subject. Participatory internships provide students with the opportunity to conduct art therapy classes, developed and conducted under the supervision of a internship supervisor (academic teacher). The group is selected based on the analysis of participants' age preferences and knowledge of the specifics of the group's functioning. The practice area will be educational, care, upbringing, rehabilitation, diagnostic and therapeutic facilities. The student improves methodological skills, using knowledge of the theoretical foundations of art therapy and deepens it by independent study of professional literature. It implements artistic projects taking into account the interdisciplinary combination of artistic media and, above all, applies them adequately to the needs and perceptual and performance capabilities of the participants. Students also learn cooperation because classes are conducted in co-therapeutic pairs, in which tasks are divided. They analyze the method and quality of establishing contact with participants and verify the accuracy of the methods and forms used. They also define their interpersonal resources, point out their strengths and isolate less satisfying areas that are worth developing.
