Purpose and description of the content of education:
Objective: Integration, deepening of musical knowledge and expanding it to include the issues of compositional techniques of new music, contemporary research on music, the role of music in film and the mutual influences of classical and popular music. Description of learning content - implemented in optional modules 1. Selected trends in music of the 20th and 21st centuries (minimalism, sonorism, spectralism, aleatorism, etc.) – compositional techniques, aesthetics, music literature. Possibilities of using chosen pieces of musical literature in therapy or translating compositional techniques into therapeutic activities. 2. The aesthetics of music – the question of beauty and meaning in music in the context of music therapy 3. Neuroaesthetics – research findings on the "musical brain" and their significance for art and music therapy 4. Psychology of music – developing cognitive functions through music, the question of musical emotions 5. The role of music in film (illustrativeness, enhancing the expression, narration, symbolism, music as a character in a movie); sound effects; music videos; 6. Prominent figures of the music scene of the 20th and 21st centuries – the specificity of their work, biographical outline 7. Classical and popular music – mutual influences and their consequences.
