Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the course is to acquaint the student with the most important developmental lines of various disciplines related to art therapies in their interrelation, taking into account the chronological and present context . This knowledge provides the basis for learning about the most representative models of art therapy work, taking into account the different degrees of activity of the clients and the varied use of artistic media. Knowledge of the theoretical background of art therapy approaches and the resulting principles of work will enable the student to determine his/her own possibilities of organising the art therapy process.

The student has knowledge of the transformations in the art therapy development, with particular emphasis on visual therapies, also in their connection with other forms of art therapies, taking into account the psychotherapeutic context and the interest of different scientific disciplines in the use of arts for healing processes and improvement of quality of life.
