Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the module is to familiarise students with the history of environmental movements in Poland and around the world (in the selected countries of Europe and the United States). The lectures present the activities and philosophies of pro-ecological organisations, their most spectacular information and mass campaigns, public speeches, publications, prints, happenings etc. Students are also introduced to the problems faced by contemporary environmental movements, various forms of nature, animal and climate protection, state actions for ecological security and mass social movements for environmental protection (such as the protection of the Białowieża Forest or saving Polish rivers). |
