Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the module is to provide students with a theoretical and practical introduction to the traditions and practices of environmental writing. The workshop topics will focus on the assumptions of environmental writing (nature writing), the cultural diversity of the phenomenon, its main forms and genres, styles and examples. Students will learn about the history of environmental writing, its European, and especially Anglo-Saxon, contexts and the most interesting Polish examples. In addition to the knowledge of the history and tradition of the forms, students will also learn how to practice them, how to write, how to comment on them, but also how to diversify and adapt them to the challenges of reality.
