Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module makes those studying sensitive to the institutional conditions in which social change takes place. Students acquire knowledge which is useful for working with governmental and self-governmental institutions, develop critical reflection on the styles and methods of work they promote, especially in the context of the climate-environmental crisis, just energy transition, technological change and patriarchal power structures. A strong emphasis is also placed on working with non-profit organisations, foundations, associations or collaboration within informal collectives and grassroots citizens' initiatives. The classes combine theory and practice. The theoretical part encompasses presentation of the latest research experiments conducted around the world with the aim to establish non-capitalist forms of economic exchange. The practical part discusses ways of organising and managing change, with a special attention given to identifying areas of change, its psychological aspects, the problem of leadership, motivation, social energy and information and communication technologies that serve or do not serve change (social media).
