Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the module is to deepen studens’ knowledge of gender studies in its relationship to ecological and environmental issues. The course provides specialised knowledge of the history of women's movements and their relationship to struggles for ecological and reproductive justice and fight with patriarchal and colonial Western politics. The main currents within ecofeminist theory are also addressed. The aim of the course is to develop the ability to link ecological and environmental issues to social inequalities, exploitation of reproductive labour, inequitable distribution of wealth, gendered and international division of labour, as well as to understand the emergence of these phenomena in relation to contemporary economic and political issues. |
