Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module introduces students to the stages of planning, implementation practices, ways of monitoring and predicting the results of the design process in organisations. Both standard market approaches to user experience design and emerging approaches that consider ventures in a wider social, ethical, environmental etc. context are discussed. Students are introduced to the methods of conceptualisatio specific to business ventures (competitive model) and social ventures (community model). A particular emphasis is placed on practising collaborative skills in the design process, the ethical values produced in the process and - in the case of machine learning ventures - the protection of copyright and user data (data privacy versus privacy by design).
