Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module introduces students to different theoretical approaches to the relationship nature-technology-human life in recent European and non-European thought. A particular emphasis is placed on the applications of modern technology (technologies) as a function of capital, as well as on their environmental and psychosocial impacts. A broad perspective on the development of technology allows students to gain an in-depth insight into the civilisation transformations related to the climate-ecological crisis and the digital transformation in the network society. The module also introduces students to the fundamental issue of moral challenges to science, taking into account contemporary forms of existential risk, technological convergence and the ideological entanglement of artificial intelligence.
