Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the course is to show students that performing public trust professions, to which uniformed service officers belong, has an axiological aspect and is associated with situations of moral dilemmas. To solve them, it is useful to know both the nature of this type of dilemmas and the standards of performing particular professions. Students should become familiar with the specific norms of professional deontology (in their relation to general ethics) and learn the basic rules for fulfilling professional roles. Additionally, as a result of the classes, the student should become familiar with the basic principles and norms of professional ethics, as well as the regulations regarding intellectual property rights contained in the Act of February 4, 1994 on copyright and related rights (Journal of Laws 2006, No. 90, item .631 as amended); the Act of July 27, 2001 on the protection of databases (Journal of Laws No. 128, item 1402, as amended) and the Act of June 30, 2000 on Industrial Property Law (Journal of Laws 2003, No. 119, item .1117 as amended).
