Purpose and description of the content of education:
After completing the course, the student acquires basic skills in conducting tourism research and developing the concept of individual scientific work. The course covers issues related to preparation for independent research work in the field of tourism and recognition/identification of a research problem. It includes a number of elements such as: (1) formulating the research problem, subject and purpose of the work, (2) constructing the table of contents of the scientific work, (3) obtaining statistical and field data, (4) ability to construct tables and graphically display data (5) applying appropriate tourism concepts and research methods, (6) correct inference. Additionally, the student is able to recognize phenomena occurring in contemporary tourism and identifies the conditions and effects of tourism development.
