  • winter semester 2025/2026
  • winter semester 2024/2025
Language of instruction: Polish
Form of verification: course work
ECTS credits: 4
Purpose and description of the content of education:
As part of the module, the student learns about geographic information systems from both the theoretical and practical sides. As part of the lectures, the student acquires knowledge of the basics of cartography and geographic information systems, and becomes familiar with sources of spatial information and examples of their applications. In the laboratory, the student learns the principles of GIS programs. The student uses GIS software to perform spatial analysis of tourist phenomena and is able to use distributed sources of spatial information. He/she is able to independently make a map of the location of tourist values, carry out their valorization and perform basic spatial analyses.
