Purpose and description of the content of education: | Przedmiot koncentruje się na dziejach myśli pedagogicznej oraz różnych form wychowania i kształcenia zarówno w rodzinie, w szkole oraz instytucjach pozaszkolnych na przestrzeni wieków, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem zachodniego kręgu cywilizacyjnego. Przybliża główne koncepcje oświatowe starożytności, średniowiecza i epoki nowożytnej w Europie jak i w Polsce. Perspektywicznym celem edukacyjnym modułu jest kształtowanie racjonalnych poglądów i postaw wobec teoretycznej i praktycznej aktywności edukacyjnej w przeszłości. Przedmiot ukazuje, że współczesność edukacyjna jest rezultatem ciągłości i zmian występujących w historycznym procesie działalności edukacyjnej człowieka.
