Mechanics with Elements of Biomechanics Field of study: Materials Science and Engineering
Programme code: W4-S1MAA19.2023

Module name: Mechanics with Elements of Biomechanics
Module code: IM1A_MZEB
Programme code: W4-S1MAA19.2023
Semester:
  • winter semester 2025/2026
  • winter semester 2024/2025
Language of instruction: depending on the choice
Form of verification: course work
ECTS credits: 4
Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module Mechanics with Elements of Biomechanics aims to enable students to understand the concepts of force equilibrium acting on model material bodies and the effects of loading on the biomechanical model of the human body. It also focuses on conducting analyses of stress in machine components and biological materials. As a result, students should gain a better understanding of the importance of mechanical properties in mechanical and biological systems. Knowledge of biomechanical principles will allow students to better understand and analyze the biomechanical aspects related to the design and application of implants.
