Purpose and description of the content of education: | The Chemistry for Engineers module is designed to familiarize students with the most important concepts and laws in the field of chemistry. The student learns the principles of nomenclature and classification of chemical compounds, predicting the course of chemical reactions, the most important information on the structure of the atom and the formation of bonds in molecules, the properties of elements and chemical compounds. The acquired knowledge will allow to understand the relationship between the chemical composition, structure, phase composition and specific functional properties of metallic, ceramic and polymer engineering materials. |
