Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the module is to familiarize students with the specifics of social assistance in relation to other solutions in the field of social security, in particular with its structure and organization, legal and professional status of social worker, tasks of social assistance and scope of activities of other institutions supporting individuals, families and their environment. It makes it possible to learn about the possibilities of providing assistance by actors/institutions operating in different areas and sectors of social policy and how these activities relate to the area of social assistance. The module also gives an opportunity to get acquainted with new trends in the area of organizing the social assistance system.
