Purpose and description of the content of education:
This group of classes deals with processes occurring in the hydrosphere and the principles of water management at local, regional and supra-regional scales. Hydrological processes are characteristic of hydrometeorology, chronology, potamology, limnology, paludology, glaciology, hydrogeology, and oceanography and are considered in detail. An essential aspect of education is the current knowledge of the physical and chemical properties of water, the structure of the water balance, the use of water: watercourses (rivers, streams, ditches, canals), groundwater, springs, lakes, wetlands, glaciers (especially as a source of fresh water), seas and oceans (in the context of maritime economy and marine hydrography), and rainwater. The training is geared towards preparation for hydrological research and water use options.
