Purpose and description of the content of education: | The module presents issues in the field of iconography and iconology of European art from antiquity to the 19th century. The module discusses the literary sources of Christian and secular iconography, the genesis of individual iconographic schemes and their evolution throughout history. Some classes take place in the gallery of the Silesian Museum. |
