Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the module is for the participant to acquire knowledge and skills thematically linked to issues of 19th and 20th century social history that are part of the canon of historical knowledge. An important element is the articulation of factors influencing the transformation of European societies. The issues dealt with during the classes concern both Western Europe and the Polish lands and Central and Eastern Europe. Students should know the causes of social and economic change and their interdependence and mutual influence on the process of change. Students should understand the cause and effect relationships of individual phenomena and events. |
