Programme code: W1-S1AI19.2023
Semester:
  • summer semester 2026/2027
  • summer semester 2025/2026
Language of instruction: Polish
Form of verification: course work
ECTS credits: 3
Purpose and description of the content of education:
As part of the module, students will become familiar with the concept of design thinking as an effective and universal way of creatively solving problems. They will learn the stages of the design thinking process and the tools, techniques, and methods associated with them. The main goal of the module is for students to acquire the skills to practically apply the design thinking methodology in various aspects of designing innovative digital products and services, as well as increasing awareness of the key role of user needs recognition in this process. Furthermore, the classes stimulate creativity and encourage effective teamwork.
List of modules that must be completed before starting this module (if necessary): not applicable
Learning outcome of the module Codes of the learning outcomes of the programme to which the learning outcome of the module is related [level of competence: scale 1-5]
The student knows what design thinking is, has organized knowledge about the genesis and development of the design thinking methodology, and knows the possibilities of its practical applications, especially in relation to designing various types of digital information spaces. The student knows the stages of the design thinking process and the associated tools, methods, and techniques; they understand the importance of each stage of the design thinking process in order to achieve optimal solutions. [DT06_1]
K_W03 [4/5] K_W09 [3/5]
The student can independently or in a team use the design thinking methodology for creatively solving problems in practical project situations. [DT06_2]
K_U02 [3/5] K_U12 [3/5]
The student understands the principles of user-centered design; they have skills in designing innovative digital products and services based on understanding the real needs of users. [DT06_3]
K_K02 [3/5]
The student is able to identify areas requiring individual expansion or deepening of knowledge and skills in the application of design thinking methodology in solving various types of problems. They can find appropriate resources and tools, as well as develop a plan for individual development. [DT06_4]
