ECTS credits: 3
Purpose and description of the content of education:
As part of the module, students are introduced to user experience (UX) research methods and techniques at the digital product design evaluation stage. They use the acquired knowledge to diagnose the design of websites, mobile applications and other digital products. During the classes, students learn research methods and techniques appropriate for this stage of the design process, design their research, conduct and analyse the results, and learn how to draw conclusions from research and develop recommendations for projects correctly. The exercises prepare them to perform the research process independently at the evaluation stage, presented in writing as a research process plan.
List of modules that must be completed before starting this module (if necessary): not applicable
Learning outcome of the module Codes of the learning outcomes of the programme to which the learning outcome of the module is related [level of competence: scale 1-5]
Define the concept of user experience. Becomes familiar with the stages of digital product design processes and the place of research in them. Knows the various methods and techniques of user experience research at the evaluation stage. Understands the principles of designing usable and functional websites and the applicable standards in this field. [UX04_1]
K_W01 [3/5] K_W04 [5/5]
The students can plan and independently carry out the UX research process at the evaluation stage. They can select methods, techniques and participants of the research adequate to the diagnosed system and requirements of the customer. [UX04_2]
K_U02 [4/5] K_U03 [3/5] K_U08 [4/5]
Can analyse the data collected during the study, improving skills in this area. Correctly interprets the obtained results, and prepares recommendations for the tested project. [UX04_3]
K_U03 [3/5] K_U05 [5/5] K_U13 [2/5]
