Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim is to acquire the terms and concepts used in statistics: mass phenomenon, statistical unit, population, population size, statistical characteristics, statistical series, which will allow students to understand the principles of analysis and interpretation of statistical data and ways of their presentation, make descriptive characteristics of a one-dimensional community, analyze the interdependence of two characteristics and dynamics of phenomena. During the classes, students learn the basic functions of the Statistica program, including the calculation of basic location measures: arithmetic mean, median and mode. This knowledge will give the ability to independently use the foundations of statistics in conducting research on statistical populations and calculating structure measures collectivity. |
