Learning outcome of the module Codes of the learning outcomes of the programme to which the learning outcome of the module is related [level of competence: scale 1-5]
Having completed this course, students will be able to: explain the principles of spatial modeling in different environmental processes, explain the nature of various models and discuss their design and implementation; describe different spatial modelling methodologies with actual application examples from real-life problems, produce effective models and maps, demonstrate an advanced and integrated knowledge of the principles of spatial analysis and GIS modelling; communicate this knowledge to others using verbal and written formats; [W2-GF-S2-239_1]
KGG2_W01 [3/5] KGG2_W02 [4/5]
The student uses advanced statistical techniques and IT tools to model, predict and solve specific problems in the field of natural sciences, demonstrates the ability to critically analyze and select information from various sources, and correctly interprets and explains natural phenomena, is able to obtain and interpret empirical data and formulate appropriate conclusions based on them. Based on data from various sources and theoretical knowledge, student is able to describe, analyze and interpret causes and course of natural phenomena and is able to formulate their own critical opinions and propose solutions independently using the right research method.
