Description: | Students in conversation classes develop their skills in speaking English on the level C1, by improving the fluency of their responses and the correctness of their language and accent. Students are also engaged in interactive exercises of communication skills. During classes, particular attention is paid to the development of vocabulary, in particular that which is connected with specific disciplines or fields, and to increasing students’ awareness of cultural and linguistic differences. In class, attention is also devoted to correct interpretation of communications, and students are expected to develop their ability to present their own views by making use of general knowledge. In the course of the classes the instructor may draw upon various themes that will engage the students’ attention and encourage discussion, aiding them in participation in class work and in developing their own interests. |
