Information on the relationship between the studies and the university's strategy as well as the socio-economic needs that determine the conduct of studies and the compliance of learning outcomes with these needs:
The second-degree studies in Law in Business have been developed closely with the goals set out in the Strategy of Development of the University of Silesia for 2020-2025. The key strategic goal of the University is to transform the University of Silesia into a research university with the highest level of education, strongly linked to scientific activity (POB 1). In this context, the curriculum for the Law in Business course is designed to culminate in the preparation of a thesis (master's degree), which can take the form of a written thesis or a detailed business plan. Leading up to this are classes that familiarize students with taking on scientific challenges as part of research teams and in individualized coursework. This aims to build the best tradition of Universitas - a community of learners and scholars, a place for transmitting knowledge, skills and academic values. According to the Development Strategy of the University of Silesia, the University's educational offer is modern, linked to scientific research and attractive to students and candidates for study. With this in mind, and with the educational needs of students in mind, the proposed curriculum for the second-degree program in Business Law has been prepared to respond as fully as possible to the needs of the labour market and the expectations of graduates. Importantly, its premise is assimilating knowledge and universal skills inherent in university education. Indeed, the goal guiding the preparation of the study program Law in Business harmoniously was to combine the transmission of knowledge, taking into account the latest state of knowledge and shaping a rational view of the world with the development of skills directly valuable for the profession of a "business" lawyer/manager, i.e. those that will enable future graduates of the direction to adapt to the changing labour market and forms of business activity. The direction will allow those studying to acquire advanced knowledge and skills in law, economics and management, which is crucial for future work in the business sector and will contribute to preparing graduates for active participation in socio-economic life. The UŚ Development Strategy for 2020-2025 also emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of education. Studying Law in Business is also ideally in line with this goal, combining knowledge of law, economics and management, which, in turn, will allow students to acquire comprehensive competencies sought after in the labour market. In summary, the study program Law in Business was developed taking into account the research issues of the POB, the expectations of the socio-economic environment and employers (with particular attention to the Expert Council of the WPiA), the expectations of existing graduates of the courses conducted at the WPiA, and global challenges. Therefore, there is no doubt that the second-degree program in Business Law is in line with the strategic goal of the University of Silesia, which is to provide top-level education adapted to the ever-changing needs of the socio-economic environment. A desirable component of modern education, in the opinion of both representatives of authorities and domestic and foreign institutions, as well as any external stakeholders, is the combination of professional and general competencies, such as communication skills for establishing relationships and solving problems, critical and analytical thinking, cooperation and creativity, among others. The second-degree program in business law is designed to prepare for independent business and middle and senior managers. Graduates will have an expanded and deepened knowledge of business management and the legal aspects of business operations in business, as well as complementary disciplines. Since the studies aim to acquire the ability to apply the acquired legal and economic knowledge in the conduct of business and enterprise management, the modules developed for the course of study of Law in Business take into account the effects of the didactic process defined in such a way as to not only tie this course to the University's strategy but also make it an important educational proposal that realizes the social expectations evident especially in times of lively international contacts and the dynamically changing needs of the broadly understood business environment.
