General characteristics of the field of study and the assumed concept of education: | Political and public advice is part of the field of education in the social sciences. The study area is located both in an academic environment (necessary knowledge in political science, journalism, and philosophy) and in a practical one. Political and public consulting combines the general understanding of the mechanisms that govern the functioning of modern states, ideas and mental currents that shape societies and, thus, the organizations they establish, and practical skills useful in constructing communication strategies and researching political trends. The field of Political and Public Consulting (1st degree) prepares students to work in public institutions, deputies' and senators' offices, political organizations, and bodies of local government units, in particular in the area of designing and implementing social and political campaigns and designing media campaigns, as well as in agencies public relations, in the profession of spokesperson, public opinion analyst, political image advisor, manager and employee of election staffs, political coach and trainer in training companies. Practical and theoretical classes conducted as part of the studies also open the way to the profession of kingmaker, which is gaining more and more popularity. Political and public consulting prepares fully competent specialists who, having completed their studies, can independently design and organize quantitative and qualitative diagnostic research of social and political campaigns and measure their effectiveness. They skilfully plan and implement marketing strategies along with the independent design of modern advertising and election materials (posters, leaflets, spots and multimedia materials), selecting carriers of these materials and considering the target audience (performing market segmentation). In addition, graduates can build the image of political parties and politicians and create and manage political brands. The skills and competencies acquired by graduates also predispose them to set up their own consulting and political consulting companies. It is worth emphasizing that students, in all their activities, will be taught to follow a profoundly ethical attitude resulting from professionalism and respect for others. The specificity of the field of study, educating in the area requiring constant contact with people, requires the graduate to maintain a high ethical standard of their activities and recognize and respect differences of points of view determined by different social, political and cultural backgrounds. |

Graduation requirements: | The condition for admission to the diploma examination is to achieve the learning outcomes provided for in the study program, to obtain a certificate of an appropriate level of language proficiency in a foreign language and to obtain positive grades for the diploma dissertation. The condition for graduation is to pass the diploma examination with at least a satisfactory result. A graduate receives a higher education diploma confirming obtaining the qualifications of the appropriate degree.

Internships (hours and conditions): | Internships are an integral part of the study program, carried out by students in individual fields, levels, profiles and forms of study. Internships are to help in confronting the knowledge acquired during studies with the requirements of the labour market, acquiring skills useful in the profession, learning about practical issues related to working in positions for which the student is prepared during the course of studies. The internship is to familiarize the student with professional language relevant to a specific industry and work culture.
The rules for the organization of internships are set out in the Rector's ordinance. Detailed rules of apprenticeship taking into account the specifics of particular fields of study are set out in the field's of study apprenticeship regulations, in particular: learning outcomes assumed to be achieved by the student during the apprenticeship, framework apprenticeship program including a description of issues, dimension of apprenticeship (number of weeks of practice); form of internship (continuous, mid-year), criteria for choosing the place of internship, obligations of the student staying in the internship, obligations of the academic tutor, conditions for completing the internship by the student and conditions for exemption from the internship obligation in whole or in part.
