Description:
The course offers an overview of a selected problem or trend from literatures and/or cultures of English-speaking countries. Special emphasis is laid on the historical and cultural background of given literary works and/or cultural trends or phenomena as well as their place in discourse and broader context. The lectures introduce a theoretical literary and/or cultural perspective. The classes aim at providing a detailed analysis and interpretation of particular texts, phenomena and/or cultural practices.

Succesful completion of the second year of studies.
