Description: | The elective monographic course (media) aims to present selected theoretical, historical, cultural and technical aspects of media. The course includes monographic lectures focused on theoretical issues in the field, as well as class discussions which are focused on debates and analyses concerning obligatory readings and chosen problems of media studies. The course is elective; that is, students are asked to choose the course from a wider selection of suggested courses. The sylabbi of individual courses vary, yet they are expected to focus on selected themes within a general framework, which may include, for example, social and cultural aspects of media, legal regulations in the field of intellectual property, studies concerning the role of media in the production of culture, theory of communication, etc. |
