Description:
This module aims to: - introduce the students to basic concepts and key terminology in the area of practical and literary translation - accentuate differences in the process of translation of practical and literary texts - introduce basic stages of the translation process and diverse techniques and strategies used in practical and literary translation - introduce a translator’s workbench - develop the ability to use translator’s tools (glossaries, dictionaries, etc.) - develop skills of critical and literary analysis of translation - apply practical translation knowledge when identifying and solving problems in translation - develop the ability to evaluate and revise translated texts.

Successful completion of the second year of studies.
