Description:
The module’s purpose is to expand the knowledge of culture and literature acquired in the first year of studies (during the History of British Literature 1 module). The classes offer a detailed presentation and analysis of culture and literature or a selected trend, genre or motif present in British literature from the Old English period to the end of the 17th century. The lectures introduce a critical and literary perspective and present a socio-cultural context of the relevant literature. The classes aim at providing a detailed analysis and interpretation of particular texts.
