Description: | The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic concepts and terminology key to the issues of artistic translation. Presentation of the components of the translation process as well as the methods and strategies of translating literary and functional texts. Presentation of the translator's workshop. Developing the ability to use the tools of the translator's workshop (glossaries, dictionaries, etc.), the ability to critically and literally analyze the text of the original and the translation, the ability to apply translation knowledge in practice when solving translation problems, the ability to evaluate and correct translations. |
