Description: | The aim of the internship is to practically prepare the student for professional tasks for which he or she would be responsible in the future. The professional attachment is to make the student familiar with the realities of work in public administration offices, non-governmental organizations, and other institutions whose business profile enhances the development of skills described in the list of the learning outcomes for the field of study and specialization that the student selected. Students of American and Canadian Studies for Intercultural Relations and Diplomacy will carry out their internships in companies and public institutions, institutions of culture, and public administration offices the central objective of whose activity is broadly understood international and intercultural cooperation, requiring advanced command of foreign languages and knowledge of intercultural and international relations. These goals coincide with the those to be achieved in keeping with the general assumptions of student internships. These objectives include: the developments of the skills acquired by the student in the course of his or her coursework; the building of skills necessary in his or her professional work in the future; the preparation of the student for his or her unaided performance of assigned tasks, and student's employment stimulation. |
