Description:
The didactic classes aim at introducing students into the issues of psychology of personality, at familiarizing them with basic notions and issues concerning the theory of personality, major theoretical orientations in psychology of personality (behavioural, psychodynamic, humanistic and cognitive theories), its measurement, selected personality variables, personality types, as well as familiarizing students with basic issues concerning disordered functioning of personality. Students should learn key issues and problems of the theory of personality, familiarize with individual differences and their significance for functioning of the individual. They should also familiarize with the specificity of the measurement of personality traits by psychologists and with the issues of personality disorders. Students should present their skills of applying the knowledge of psychology of personality and individual differences in pedagogical work.
