Description:
The aim of the subject is to pass down the knowledge and skills in writing business plans for media projects. The subject matter of the classes includes the following thematic areas. In the first part of the course, students will learn to describe the characteristics of a company or entity creating a media venture (vision of the future it is heading for, their company's mission, its strengths, which will become part of their professional CV, contact details of their company and the record of PKD), marketing- mix (what features the products or services should have, how to determine their prices, what the distribution channel will look like, what should be done to promote the company's brand and its products or services), analysis of the company's environment (who the clients are, what are the current competitors, who the suppliers are, what are available substitutes of products or services it intends to sell, what is the marketing mix of competitors, what opportunities and threats result from the demographic situation of the market segment, cultural phenomena, macroeconomic situation, law, available technology). In the second part of the course, students learn to prepare a preparation plan (the goal that they want to achieve after the preparation stage, list of activities and their duration, preparation schedule, budget preparation stage) and action plan (the goal that they want to achieve after one year from the beginning of the action phase , list of activities and their duration, schedule of activities for one year - marketing, sales, service or production activities, as well as development activities.
Prerequisites:
Student has to have basic knoledge on business management and marketing.
