Description:
The course covers general information about Public-Private Partnership as a method of providing public tasks. It helps to understand how PPP works in practice, where it can be used and what profits and risks are connected with PPP. During the course students will try to negotiate and conclude an agreement in a PPP case. The syllabus for the course covers the following issues: 1. The definition of Public – Private Partnership 2. The aims of Public – Private Partnership 3. The possibilities of realization of PPP projects from the private sector perspective 4. Main areas of using Public – Private Partnership in the practice 5. General data. Public – Private Partnership market in the EU 6. Public – Private Partnership under the EU Law 7. Concession agreements in the EU Law 8. PPP in practice. Reporting of some typical PPP cases from EU practice with the special remarks on Polish PPP cases
