Module code: | IM1A_P |
Programme code: | 08-S1MAA16.2018 |
Semester: | summer semester 2019/2020 |
Language of instruction: | English |
Form of verification: | exam |
ECTS credits: | 3 |
Description: | The Polymers module shall enable that students are knowledgeable about polymer materials and methods of their obtaining, classifying and analysing.
Owing to that students shall achieve a better understanding of correlations between the macromolecules structure and their properties. Understanding the relationships and correlations between polymer materials properties and their structure shall result in honing the skill to apply a broad spectrum of traditional and modern analytical methods leading to finding possibilities of their application in relevant areas of technology.
|
Prerequisites: | It is required to achieve effects of education of physics, chemistry, and basics of materials science modules. |
Key reading: | 1. A. Stolarzewicz, Metody syntezy polimerów i ich charakterystyka, Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Śląskiego, Katowice 2005
2. Z. Florjańczyk, S. Penczek, Chemia polimerów, tom I, Oficyna Wydawnicza Politechniki Warszawskiej, Warszawa 2001
3. H.-G. Elias, An Introduction to Polymer Science, VCH Verlagsgesellschaft, Weinheim 1997
