Module code: | 1BT_18 |
Programme code: | 01-S1BT12.2016 |
Semester: |
|
Language of instruction: | Polish |
Form of verification: | exam |
ECTS credits: | 6 |
Description: | The course focuses on structure and functions of proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates and lipids. Students learn expression of genetic information within prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Students explore location and relationship of metabolic network structure to its function.
Familiarise themselves with structure and function of electron transport chain and principles of energy production. Students learn and practice manual skills in the lab. Drawing conclusions improve student’s ability to analyse and interpret collected empirical data.
|
Prerequisites: | Implementation of the learning outcomes of the modules on chemistry, mathematics and physics |
