Introduction to structure of eukaryotic organisms Field of study: Biotechnology
Programme code: 01-S1BT12.2016

Module name: Introduction to structure of eukaryotic organisms
Module code: 1BT_14
Programme code: 01-S1BT12.2016
Semester:
  • winter semester 2017/2018
  • winter semester 2016/2017
Language of instruction: Polish
Form of verification: exam
ECTS credits: 6
Description:
The module provides basic knowledge about the structure and function of basic cell substructures and organelles. It explains definition of tissue and classification system, origin, framework and distribution of plant and animal tissues. The module points out relationships between structure and function of tissues and organs. The module instructs student about basic microscopic techniques and microscopic observations. Student learns how to use light microscope, acquires and develops ability of conducting simple microscopic observations and their documentation.
Prerequisites:
Biological knowledge at highschool level
Key reading:
see syllabus compulsory reading
