Purpose and description of the content of education:
W ramach modułu studenci zdobędą wiedzę z zakresu chemii, fizyki, mikrobiologii oraz materiałoznawstwa i konserwacji materiału bibliotecznego. Ponadto zdobędą umiejętności wykorzystania metod fizyko-chemicznych i mikrobiologicznych w konserwacji i ochronie zbiorów bibliotecznych. Realizacja modułu ma sprawić przede wszystkim, by student potrafił praktycznie zastosować teorię w praktyce, umiał dostosować metody i narzędzia z zakresu nauk przyrodniczych w działalności biblioteki. Celowi temu służy wykorzystanie metod aktywizujących studentów, nabycie zdolności manualnych przy pracach z materiałem bibliotecznym.

The student knows the methods of assessing the state of preservation of a collection (old prints) as well as the terminology and methodology in the field of chemistry, physics, microbiology and materials science as well as the conservation of library material. [MWKOZ03_01]
