Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the module is to show literature as one of the key components of contemporary culture, analyzed in the broad context of social, ideological, religious and media transformations of the 20th and 21st centuries. Literature is not treated as an autonomous object of study, but as a cultural medium - a carrier of values, ideas and images of the world, which co-creates and reflects changing cultural images of reality. The class aims to sensitize students to the meanings and values conveyed in literary works considered canonical for Western civilization and their functioning in a broader cultural context. Analysis of literary texts is used to understand cultural and religious processes, as well as the mechanisms of meaning construction in contemporary culture.
