Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the course is to develop students’ language competences to the B2+ level through in-depth linguistic analysis of English-language academic texts in the field of cultural studies, as well as professional literature related to library and information activities. The programme includes a detailed discussion of text structure, terminology, syntax, and pragmatic aspects characteristic of English-language academic and professional publications. Students enhance their ability to accurately comprehend complex content in English, to identify linguistic features typical of specialist discourse, and to interpret texts in the context of the specific nature of the discipline. |

By analyzing specialized texts in the form of scholarly publications in the fields of culture studies as well as book and information studies, the student consolidates and expands their knowledge of research areas and methods, and the principles of their appropriate application depending on the nature and purpose of the research, while also becoming familiar with current issues and directions of development within the discipline.
