Purpose and description of the content of education:
In this module, students gain knowledge about the social aspects of information culture, reasons, and consequences of low information competencies as indicators of social exclusion. They learn about the models of information competencies/literacy pillars. The aim of the classes is to prepare students to model social behaviors that consider the tasks of information ecology as responses to the informational challenges of the 21st century. The module is conducted in English, which allows for the development of competencies in understanding English-language scientific texts.

The student has knowledge of the social determinants of the formation of information culture of the individual and collective in the e-society. He knows the designations of the following concepts: information literacy, information literacy and its components, understands the mechanisms of formation of barriers and limitations to the creation, storage, selection, distribution and retrieval of information.
