Purpose and description of the content of education:
As an integral part of the module, students will learn the concepts inherent in cultural anthropology, the principles of operating effectively in a culturally diverse environment by discovering stereotypes and their sources, highlighting similarities and differences between cultures, and the benefits and dangers of cross-cultural contacts. Students will learn the assumptions of international programs for students like ERASMUS as part of their education, in the process of preparing them to take action in the global labour market in cross-cultural teams. The aim of the course is to develop cultural synergy, practically based on the diversity of cultural values and their functions.

The student knows the basic concepts of cultural anthropology, including the definitions of culture, identity, stereotype, ethnocentrism and cultural relativism; understands the mechanisms of cultural functioning in the global context and the importance of cultural diversity in communication and cooperation; has knowledge of international educational programs (e.g. ERASMUS) as tools for developing intercultural competence; knows the benefits and risks of intercultural contacts and how to recognize and analyze them.
