Purpose and description of the content of education: | During the classes, students will learn the principles of creating, developing and sharing digital collections in cultural institutions. Students will become familiar with contemporary types of institutions, their tasks, the way they function and the techniques and tools used to create digital collections. The large integration of digital collections of cultural institutions is a challenge that requires both interoperability and compatibility in the scope of data and metadata of these institutions. During the classes, it is necessary to learn the methodology of creating digital resources and the principles of their openness in the virtual space. Completing the module will enrich the student with a set of necessary knowledge, skills and competences, useful in work in libraries, archives, museums and repositories functioning for the needs of culture and science. |
