Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the module is to familiarize the student with basic concepts in the field of legal sciences, the knowledge of which is essential for further continuation of studies, and in particular for studying dogmatic subjects. The student is introduced both to the origins of these concepts and to the current state of regulations in this area. The lecture covers both theoretical issues and their practical aspects. As part of the course, students are also introduced to basic issues concerning the interpretation and application of law. A separate range of topics presented during the lecture includes fundamental problems of contemporary philosophy of law (including various concepts of law, the issue of the ambiguity of the term "law," and controversies related to the problem of the binding force of a provision). As a result of the course, the student should acquire the ability to understand and use basic legal concepts, which will enable them to analyze and understand legal phenomena as well as to recognize and solve basic legal problems in the further course of their studies. |
