Purpose and description of the content of education: | The course focuses on presenting the solutions offered by both EU and Polish law in the area of consumer protection. Students learn about private law instruments of consumer protection and gain knowledge of the institutions responsible for consumer protection and the means of enforcing it.
The course includes, among others:
- identification of consumer rights,
- distinguishing consumers from other market participants and indicating the practical consequences of consumer status,
- formulating and exercising the right of withdrawal from a contract,
- conducting an effective complaint procedure for goods,
- evaluating and handling procedures for challenging unfair contractual clauses,
- assessing credit agreements from the perspective of consumer protection,
- carrying out an effective complaint procedure concerning a travel contract,
- explaining the principles of consumer protection in international transactions. |
