Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the module is to familiarize the Student with the basic principles and institutions of social security law. The Student should become acquainted with the social insurance system in Poland, in particular the rules of insurance coverage, the scope of benefits, and the procedure for granting them. During the course, topics such as retirement insurance, disability pensions, sickness insurance, accident insurance, and additionally health insurance are discussed. Particular emphasis is placed on the analysis of the provisions of the Act on the Social Insurance System and other selected legal acts within the above-mentioned branch of law. The Student acquires the ability to practically apply the provisions of social security law, including identifying the rights and obligations of the insured and contribution payers. The subject is tailored to the needs of a law student. |
